Alistair was invited to present a paper at the 2003 Aged Care Conference in Melbourne, and the Paper illustrated the application of Universal Design Principles in aged care design.

- National Finalist Award – 1989 SA Housing Trust Low Cost Housing design competition.
- National Finalist Award – 1990 SA Housing Trust Low Cost Housing design competition.
- National Finalist Award – 1999 Dulux Creative Colour Awards
- UDIA Affordable Development Award – 2013, bestowed on DOH for Living Space at Cockburn Central.
In 2013 Alistair produced a blueprint for Full Life Cycle Living for high density housing. This concept integrates Universal Design, Australian Standards for Access & Mobility, and out-sourced Clinical Services to present a brief at the forefront of future high density affordable housing.
Alistair is a Director at HHA Architects, and a registered architect in Western Australia.
